The “Nutty” chocolate is truly awesome it melts in your mouth and has such a huge deep flavor of toasty chocolate.

This is my first TCHO review, apart from my Beta feedback.
I was already familiar with Citrus from the addictive Chocolate drenched Macadamias. What I didn't expect was for the flavor to come in so subtly: With the thin wafer you gain a clearer insight into the cocoa sensation before you are introduced to the fruit flavor. I was led on a journey from the outer layers of warm and not overly sweet chocolate flavor to the clarity at the core that is strong enough with acidity to make you realize how finely balanced this chocolate really is.
The presentation and the package design are flawless. The sticker to designate flavor and the flap work better than any chocolate packaging I've experienced (maybe with the exception of the Droste Drops packs)
Where I was disappointed was with the bar itself: The square shape and thickness are perfect for consumption. The Beta didn't have a real designated top side. In the finished product I would expect the bar to be placed so it greets me when I open it, instead I found it placed upside down in the packaging. When I turned it around I found 9 squares that are rather hard to break with ease. I'd been waiting to see how the bars would evolve. While the carved curve traces make a continuity from the outer packaging that is pleasing to the eye, I would've hoped for a more balanced layout, i.e. 4 x 4 squares or even Triangles and definitely a better break-off experience. To have my first three "snaps" come off as long sliver like fragments instead of neat squares took away a lot of the "first time" enjoyment I was getting from the initial experience.
Oh, well, I'll have to have another one of those irresistible Macadamias to console myself. (Posted on 12/17/08)

Peru is new on my chocolate palette and I like "fruity" long finish.
